Dead tired...no end in sight. YOU can help though
Friday and Saturday markets went good, aside from the occasion sigh I think inside from people trying to impress ... on whom... by showing how much of the world they are. We got a good deal of fresh good food to a good deal of people, one landscape stone that had been ordered delivered as well.
On that note...this is where y'all come in. As I sat fishing for the first chance in a month to do ANYTHING for myself, and that was 2 hours. I have not one day in either July or August I don't have to be somewhere. Work Mon-Thurs 7-5 (not counting the commute) Friday market, Saturday market, Sunday church (at least with good people) and then the things everyone seems to think I have time for on top of those. Never, not one day to rest. Ever. Need the house and farm paid for - that can only come from the public that thinks my art work, and our heirloom farm, is worth an artist not sitting in a cubicle.

good morning fellow gardeners!!
Help to grow something great!! Yes YOU reading this, you have the ability to help grow our farm to bring fresh, not shipped food to many people. Simply by supporting the art work, signs and farm you can help give us the time we really need to work the garden.
order a character or sign on wood or a window sticker - just 8-12 orders a day ends 10+ hours of commuting alone as well as sitting in front of the computer while the work on the farm sits needing done. http://katehagerartist.com

1/2 a % I'm looking for that...maybe 1/4 a %
have a pet? have them painted on wood instead of the stones to be able to ship - $20 plus materials and shippping. (about $30 total)
I have several charcoals...sitting in a flat carrier.... in the art room... unseen by anyone. originals - they would love a home.
I can paint up the stickers and you can put them on a car window, a child's dresser, head board - etc out in the elements on a car window they make it about a year - $10-15 - how much did you spend on coffee this week? or fast meals, they don't last near as long or bring half as many smiles when you pass by. All I want is to find a way to pay off the farm. That's all, God gave me a talent, but I'm not allowed to use it. Instead I fight traffic morning and night that frankly scares me to sit in a cubicle 10 hours a day. There are soooooooo many google users. On here every day, I'm not asking for much - shares of the site http://katehagerartist.com and shares of this blog. Orders, small is ok, donations great, mail them to my house if you don't like paypal fees. Just help me do what I was meant to in this world we live paycheck to paycheck in where just the insurances we are required to carry are more than a mortgage payment.

farm markets - things you should know
Do you stop by the farm market to get local produce and support a local farmer? Yes you should, it's better for you food!!! BUT you should also know a couple of things.
Number one - buy from someone that grows local!! From the 3 years I've been doing farm markets - I'd say 1/2 to 2/3 of what's sold at farm markets...is bought at food auctions. Isn't grown local.
How do you tell? Here's how, #1 do they have stuff on their table you couldn't possibly have ready in your garden yet? Ripe tomatoes in June? Big peppers? Melons? They were grown down south and shipped up. Look for cardboard boxes under the table. #2 Are all the tomatoes and peppers and squash the same size? When's the last time you went out to the garden and had 25 peppers the same size and shape? Or zucchini? That would be....never. They were bought and set out to resell.
SOME venders will tell you they bought it, some will not.
We grow and make what we sell. In our garden. At our house. You won't find things out of season here. Just some FYI this Monday morning as I sit at my office desk trying to figure out a way to pay off farm...get the money to.. so we can focus on growing GOOD food...and making art

farm and garden and produce and gifts and art work
Stop on over and look around I bet I have something for your car, yard, wall, pet....
or I can make you something. Think of the millions....ok billions that are spent around this country alone every single day. All I'm asking is enough orders to pay my bills...without having to fight traffice for an hour to sit in a cubicle for 10 hours to fight traffic for another hour. I'm sure you can find something cute as a gift for someone you know...or for yourself :-)
